Do we have to have 2 photographer/videographers?

No, we can subtract the cost for the 2nd shooter from your package if only 1 is desired. We have found however that having 2 shooters in each speciality creates a better end product. It is especially useful to capture you both equally before the wedding, to fully get each of your reactions to first seeing one another, and to better tell the story of your day and those who you’re sharing it with.

Do we get all the rights to our photos?

We include all of the edited high resolution photos (free of watermarks) with all the rights to print the photos so you can use how you wish after the wedding. This means you can choose your own local or private print companies or even make your own wedding albums. You always have the option to print through us too.

What are your turnaround times?

With photography, we will deliver your complete gallery within 4-5 weeks from your wedding. With your wedding film, it’s a lengthier and complex process so we aim to deliver prior to 90 days out when possible. We also love to post and share sneak peeks which we do within 48 hours with your photographs!

Can we see a full event from start to finish?

Absolutely! If you’d like to see a complete gallery, we’re more than happy to send you one. We’ll even try to share one at the same venue you have, or one that has a similar vibe in style or location to yours. This is a great way to see the entire scope of what a final product looks like.

When should we book your services?

We are very selective about the number of weddings we take on each and every year, so we do recommend getting in touch with us to discover if your date is available. From there, we can schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss your wedding day in depth and discover if we’re a good match for one another. We will consider you officially booked once we have your contract signed and have received your retainer fee.

How long are the highlight videos?

Our goal with every wedding video is to tell your love story through this celebratory moment of your wedding. We’ve found that putting time constraints on this is more limiting than enhancing, so we’ve moved towards ‘however long it takes to fully tell your wedding story.’ That being said, most highlight videos would be a minimum of 5 minutes long, and a 6 hour wedding often falls in that 6-8 minute range.

What happens if you get sick or have an emergency?

In the event of an emergency, we have a strong team of Felicia Marti Photo + Video contractors who are all professionals in the wedding industry. They understand our style and approach to a wedding day and can easily step in the case of an emergency. We’ll always keep you informed every step of the way.

What happens if we need to cancel or postpone our wedding?

If a worldwide pandemic has taught us anything, it’s how to be flexible! Our contracts state that while no monies can be returned, you are able to put any money paid towards future events or other photography services within 1 year after your contracted wedding date should you need to reschedule or postpone your event. We do ask that you partner with us to ensure availability of the new date in the case of postponement.

Will 6-8 hours be enough time to capture our whole day?

Absolutely. We actually plan the day with you, and because of this we can maximize your time in front of the cameras. Our ideal timeline includes some portraits being taken beforehand (even if it’s not together), and also during the cocktail hour. We’ve found our couples LOVE that we’re so wise with our time and can still completely and fully tell the story of the wedding day. We are highly strategic and it pays off.

How do You decide what shots to take at our wedding?

We work from a list that you help us create. Prior to your wedding we’ll share a working pose list filled with the most common shots we typically take: everything from details, to family combos, to must have reception moments. We put so much time and effort in beforehand to understand what’s most important to you; this allows us to capture everything you expected and more.

Is travel included in our package price?

We rarely charge separate travel prices for packages booked directly through us. With weddings where overnight stays will be necessary, we would discuss this with you up front before booking. We love traveling, and appreciate opportunities to work in beautiful and breathtaking locations.

What are your requirements upon booking?

Our entire booking process is 100% digital, including the signing of any contracts and the ability to pay securely with card online. The retainer to secure our services is 50% of your total package.

Do you edit and deliver all the photos from the day?

We will give you all the photos from the day, taking out only test shots, duplicates, or blinkers. We will cull the photos so your final product is a polished presentation, and each photo is color corrected with our signature look of natural, bright, and vivid color. We do not retouch acne or scars on your finished digitals, but are happy to retouch up to 5 of your favorites at no additional cost, as well as on any print orders.

How do you approach family photos and other groupings?

Most of our clients do not want to keep their guests waiting too long during cocktail hour. We keep family photos moving, organized, and fun to maximize photo time. We’ll create a shot list together ahead of time, and use an efficient technique of adding and subtracting loved ones until we’ve checked everything off. Our philosophy is this is your only wedding day, so when in doubt we should take the photo!

What other services do you provide?

Because we work with digital art, we can easily provide custom designed stationary like your save the dates, invitations, or thank you cards. We also have a professional photo lab we work with to provide beautiful high quality prints, canvases or albums. These can be added to your package, or purchased after your wedding.
