The rest of the world was black and white
But we were in screaming color
~ Taylor Swift, Out of the Woods
I will never forget the moment that Kate and I were sitting on the couch together, somehow we got on the subject of the recent glitter beard trend, and instantly we both lit up, looked at her husband, Derek, and began to beg him to consider doing one for a photoshoot!
You may recognize these two from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science engagement session. They are some of my absolutely favorite humans, and they are also two of my favorite clients. This was the 3rd shoot I’ve done with Kate, and one thing I love is that she always wants to jump on top of the box and do something original, adventurous, and it always turns out beautifully! This includes being in a very thin dress, barefoot in the Rocky Mountains on a cold winter afternoon.
This stylized fantasy photo session is one of my absolute favorites. Not only does each photo individually tell an incredible story, but the entire session has a thread of restless romance, inner beauty, and a bit of a dream come alive. I hope you pour over each of these photos as much as I have. Pick one and just look into the aspects of it! The black-and-whites, and close-ups are up there on my absolute favorites!
I must say, I hope this inspires the inner dreamer inside of you. I hope it gives you confidence to jump into something fun and courageous because the result may be just stunning!
