Carlo and Kevin were married August 1st outside the beautiful Coohills on the strong metal bridge that overlooks Downtown Denver. They were my first same-sex wedding of this year, and my first same sex wedding since the Supreme Court ruled same-sex marriages legal in all 50 states. I’m beyond thrilled to share these amazing photographs. I’ve been meaning to publish these photos since before I could even get them off the camera!
Travel the road of love… love will lead to a higher ground. – Paul Wong
Kevin and Carlo have an amazing love story that is a testament to have hope and to continue to have faith despite the twists and turns life hands you. The images from their stunning morning wedding continue to make me feel as emotional as I felt behind the camera on their wedding day. I’ll never forget the moment waiting for Kevin to arrive as Carlo and I stood at the foot of the bridge waiting for their first look. It didn’t take long before that quiet moment before it all begin was whooshed away by them being united for their first time on their wedding day, and into the frenzy and celebration with their friends and family as they took a new step in their life-long relationship.
In my world I continue to be amazed by the love that is evident every single time I pick up my camera. This was especially evident in this downtown Denver wedding where the grooms affection throughout the ceremony, their care for one another while we wandered around the city taking their wedding formals, to the way they greeted the friends and family that gathered to celebrate this special day in their life.
I wish Carlo and Kevin an entire lifetime of happiness. I hope that seeing the images of their day brings you the same kind of smile it brings to me. One that can’t help from coming out when you see something so special and lit up with love.
