Joe and Samantha had an absolutely gorgeous and fun wedding in late Spring last summer. They tied the knot at The Barn at Deer Creek Valley Ranch, which is a romantic and historic venue in Bailey, Colorado- just an hour ourside of Denver. I know Samantha and Joe chose this venue because of the amazing outdoor and indoor capacity- to enjoy the stunning mountain views, be away from the city, have touches of that rustic barn enhance their classic and fun vision of their wedding, and to be able to dance the night away inside the barn.
These newly weds spent 15 months planning their wedding from when they were first engaged so they could really make it the dream they had been envisioning, but Sam felt like it took forever for the day to come. She couldn’t wait to see Joe for the first time, and to dance their first dance which was a stunning choreographed viennese waltz! For Joe, he couldn’t wait to watch Sam walk down the aisle.

I absolutely love the mismatched bridesmaids dresses that Samantha’s girls chose for their wedding! As long as they were blue and floor length, they were perfect for the day! This gave each girl a choice in what they felt best in, and to showcase a bit of their own personalities too! And they really all came together so well!
For colors they chose shades of blue with hints of red, and the pink and red in the bouquets really do stand out in the best way.

When it came time for the ceremony, everyone was a bit emotional. Samantha’s parents surprised her with a horse and carriage ride to carry the bride and her Father to the ceremony site, and then take the couple away once the knot was tied.
Their ceremony was so personal with the vows that they wrote to each other, readings from the Bible, and a unity tree planting under the gazebo. The sun shined so brightly that many guests pulled out umbrellas to shade themselves during the ceremony, and then were able to continue to use them as an afternoon storm rolled in and shed a little good luck on this couple’s wedding day.

You can see how much fun their day had, and how Deer Creek Valley Ranch gave them a perfect backdrop to be able to have a few moments to get away together to visit the horses, and enjoy the sunset- which of course as photographers we absolutely loved capturing these moments. They also had so much fun dancing with their parents out on the patio surrounded by family and friends, and heard the toasts given by their best friends and parents there too. When it came time for their first dance, they absolutely nailed it and it kicked off one of the best dance parties.
