Hello my friends! I hope you are all staying cozy as this cold snowy season greets Colorado. I have just spent the morning getting ready to go collaborate on a newborn session this afternoon. Newborn sessions are amazing, but they are a lot of work! They take a lot of fun and soft backgrounds, fun personal items, warmth, cozy blankets, and then more blankets for propping up and comforting these beautiful new little babies. More than that, they require a lot of patience and a lot of love- which happens to be the easier part. Maybe it’s my age, or my baby fever, or just the part of me that spent my youth carrying around baby dolls pretending I was a Mom already, but I just cannot help how much I love being around babies!
In these photos I want to introduce you to the most perfect little new viking! Her mom told me she was her viking because she is strong spirited, red-headed, and knows exactly who she is. She was so perfect in her newborn portraits session. She slept most of the time, and just snuggled into these amazing hand-knitted blankets, hats, and baby socks! I can’t help but just love all the textures that are in these images and feel like it just oozes who this little one is.
I hope you love these images as much as I do, and hopefully they make you smile and feel warm and fuzzy inside! Off to another day of inspiration and photography!
