Lauren and Blake’s wedding at The Manor House kicked off our 2021 wedding season, and did so with an absolute bang. It was our first time doing any kind of work at The Manor House, and with that we had the pleasure to explore and experience the one of a kind venue and are so excited to share with you all the reasons why.

1: Natural Light

The Manor House is an amazing venue that has so many options for beautiful backdrops for any wedding day. To the east is the cityscape of Denver nestled between two rolling hills. To the north you have beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater. And to the west you have the romantic foothills of the Rocky Mountains. A lot of times our couples are deciding whether they want more of an urban or mountain vibe, and The Manor House provides a great balance of both with it’s natural views and it’s historic beautiful architecture.

2: Perfect Spaces for Getting Ready

One unexpected benefits to The Manor House is their separate cottage for the Bride to get ready in. First, it’s absolutely beautiful, offering so much natural light which makes filming a breeze. Plus, having a total separate space means there’s no fear of the couple accidentally seeing one another before their first look or ceremony.

Inside the main building is a “man cave” that has a pool table, TV, and plenty of comfy chairs for the groomsmen to hang out in. They also have this charming library that’s a perfect spot for putting a boutonniere on, signing the marriage license, and other special moments.

Our couple chose to write letters to one another before the ceremony, and these intimate areas gave them the privacy to read their letters aloud, while feeling the freedom to feel all the emotions that came up. This is such an important part of our being able to tell the story of their day, and we’re so grateful that we had a beautiful space to film these moments in.

3: Ceremony Site and Reception Hall

As mentioned above the ceremony site is STUNNING. With the cityscape to the east and red rocks amphitheatre to the north you can’t really ask for much more. The reception area is also stunning. The Manor House has a very clean aesthetic. The reception space has a vaulted ceiling with clean white walls and wooden beams running across the top. The contrast this creates makes for a beautiful look. As a filmmaker I always appreciate attention to detail.

4: The Manor House Team

As a videographer it can be nerve wracking to shoot at a venue for the first time. Questions like will I get along with DJ? Does everyone have the same timeline and agenda that I do? Will the venue provide a day of coordinator and have a great staff that keeps us on schedule? All these questions were quickly answered, and we were blown away with the vendors we worked with. The Manor House staff is INCREDIBLE.

Kylie, who was our day of coordinator, made sure we had everything we needed. Her staff was very kind and helped everyone make sure we were all right on time throughout the day. As a photo + video company our main objective is to be of service to our client and make sure their wedding day is an amazing experience for them- but when the entire team of vendors unite to make that happen it’s always a relief and makes being able to do so much easier.

It’s worth mentioning too that we were blown away by the food. The chef deserves major props. The first course was a light salad followed by an amazing cut of steak served with a side of sauteed Asparagus and the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had at a wedding.

We hope this gives you some food for thought around what we value in a great wedding venue. We highly recommend The Manor House if you’re looking for a historic and beautiful wedding venue. It really does provide plenty of amazing spots for photos + video, a big and beautiful spaces for your friends and family to enjoy celebrating you in, and an awesome team takes the stress out of your wedding day.
